The Consumedix home collection lab test is only a collection set, not a complete self-test. This means that you take blood yourself by means of a finger prick (such as when measuring sugar). This blood must then be sent to the accredited laboratory (Microbe & lab) with which we work. An approved CEIVD test is performed at the lab.
No. Self-testing means that you can do the test YOURSELF at home and also get a result AT HOME (such as a pregnancy test). In that case, no laboratory or doctor is involved. The self-tests are as yet unreliable and not suitable for home use. The IGJ therefore prohibits self-tests that do not have CE certification in the Netherlands.
No, for the time being, rapid tests are insufficiently reliable. This has also been confirmed after an advice from the OMT based on research into 16 rapid tests and a recent advice from the RIVM (dated 12-05-2020). We do expect that good rapid tests will be launched on the market in the future.
We think it is important that our test is not only accessible, but also as reliable as possible. We therefore only offer approved laboratory tests that are carried out by expert personnel. The laboratory is ISO certified. This means that they are regularly checked for quality and professionalism and that they always pass these checks well.
That's right, this is only an administration kit and not a self-test. We work together with an accredited laboratory. Approved CE-IVD tests are used in the lab. The lab meets all ISO and certification conditions.
The laboratory measures whether antibodies are present in the blood, if there are, you will receive a positive test result. This means that you have been in contact with the Corona (SARS-COV-2) virus. Only when you have been in contact can antibodies be present in the body.
Unfortunately, this is not yet clear. A lot of research is still being done on this at the moment. This test method only shows that you have antibodies.
No, this collection set is only suitable to determine whether you have antibodies and therefore have been in contact with the Corona (SARS-COV-2) virus more than 2 weeks ago.
We offer a collection set. So it is not a self-test. In view of government measures, it is easier and safer to collect the material at home. The test and analysis takes place in the laboratory. Tests that give the results at home are as yet unreliable and prohibited. The laboratory is ISO certified and expert employees carry out the test. The medical microbiologist checks the results and shares them via a secure portal. So you only have to send the collected blood in a return box with a freepost number.
Yes, the result is completely anonymous. The lab doesn't know who is testing them. The code in the box is unique and all that is needed to perform a test. On the online results page you only need to enter this code, no other data.
Unfortunately this is not yet possible. At the moment there are no tests that are reimbursed by a health insurer.
